Cooking Party

Last Friday night the girls had a cooking birthday party for a sweet friend.  They really had a blast.  When we left, Abby said that's the best birthday party she's been to.  Kyndal asked to have hers there too.

Making the dough for their pizza

Decorating their cupcakes

The Birthday Girl:)

Enjoying their pizza that they made themselves from scratch.  They were good too:)

She was invited to participate in the cooking, but declined, however she was all over the eating part:)

Now, enjoying their yummy cupcakes.  The cupcakes were already made for them, and they got to decorate 2 of their own.  Abby loaded hers down with frosting, Kyndal not so much!!

Then they started dancing and it was hilarious...

Memorial Day Fun

We are very thankful to all who serve, have served, and have died for our freedom here in America.  Very thankful for their families and all the sacrifices they make.

We enjoyed a fun day at a park near by, Benson Park, with friends.  We had a picnic in a big open area.  As soon as we were done eating, we took cover under a tree, as it began raining.  Once it quit, the kids had races, then we went to the playground area where they had lots of fun.  Then we walked around the park.  Many years ago it was a zoo, so there are still some cages and such.  There's a big pond with a walking trail around it, and several trails in the woods.  It's a really great place that they are in the process of making even nicer.  It was very crowded too. We had a great day:)

This is a 9/11 Memorial they have.  That dark post is from the Towers.  They have stones leading up to this area giving the time line of the 9/11 events.  It's a really nice area, but so sad.

And of course, every fun park day ends with ice cream:)  YUM!!!

Weekend Recap

Friday night the girls had a cooking birthday party, which they loved.

I have several pictures from the party, so it will have its on post.

Saturday was family day!!!  We went shopping that morning for the big girls some summer clothes.

Then we enjoyed some yummy lunch.

Then we cut the grass at the church.  I love push mowing the front yard.  It's great exercise and it's needed.  We got to push mow the back to though, because the riding lawn mower is down.  Andddd, the church has a BIG back yard that had high grass.  Abby did a little, and Craig and I did the rest.  The girls played and rode their bikes in the parking lot.

Then we went on a family bike ride on the trail.  We actually made it 6 miles, which was great for the girls.  It was fun:)

Craig says she talks the whole time!  Ha:)  We hear lots of "how cute" down the trail too.

Sunday, we had a great church service, then we went to the trail with several friends.  Everyone rode their bikes, so I walked beside Anna Claire as she rode her bike.  We of course didn't make it 6 miles. Ha!!!  After we got home and cleaned up, I cooked dinner and we watched a show together.  The girls slept good this weekend after being so worn out:)

Chilling after a fun long weekend!!!
