little "little"

We are in our second week of school and it's going well.  Like I said last week, having a 2 year old in the mix can get a bit crazy at times.  I sometimes feel bad for her that she is lacking some attention, but at least she is here with her mom and sisters, right????  I put in some educational dvds for her, but she's not really interested in TV for more than, oh 2 seconds.  She does like to color, so that will occupy her for about 15-20 minutes.  She likes to play with books, and she will play with her toys for a little while too.  The other times, she is at the table messing with their papers, writing on their papers, telling them to move, wanting in my lap, writing on my lesson plan book, yelling, oh and potty training.  One day I will miss these days I know.  I am enjoying them, but it can get a little hairy every now and then.  She really is a great little baby girl!

When she does something she knows she is not suppose to and you call her to come to you or you get on to her, she closes her eyes, as if you can't see her anymore.  It's the funniest thing ever.  I crack up everytime.

She is actually telling me when she has to use the potty some of the time and is doing pretty well in that area.  With Abby and Kyndal I made it like a 3 day mission of staying inside, wearing panties, and just living in the bathroom.  Not with AC!!!  We are just going with the flow through this potty training thing.  She's not even 2 1/2 yet anyways.

She still doesn't really talk a ton, but she gets her message across.  She does try to repeat us, but between Abby and Kyndal, she doesn't have much time to talk!

She is getting a little picky with her eating for some reason.  She has always been such a great eater, now it's a struggle to get her to eat most meals.  Now, you put some cheese puffs, applesauce, or goldfish in front of her and she is ALL over it!  She needs to overcome this little obstacle quickly.

She still messes with her hair as you can tell in pictures, it looks a little crazy, but oh well, what do I do?!?!

She is a true joy and delight in our family!

She always wants you to look at her color page and say that's so pretty!!!

Weekend Re-cap

We had a really good first week of school.

Friday after school, when Craig got home I went out for a while by myself, which was really nice.  Thank you hubby.

Friday night we went to some friends house for dinner and had homemade Mexican which was sooooo good!

Saturday morning Craig had men's prayer breakfast so the girls and I cleaned and they were such a big help.

After I cooked a yummy lunch, Abby, Kyndal, and I went to Target and did a little shopping.

I tried another new crockpot recipe for dinner Saturday night and it turned out really good too.

Sunday we went to church and had another outstanding service.

After church, some of the ladies planned a ladies get together at someones house to welcome me and get to know each other better.  It was sooooo nice.  They definitely made me feel very welcomed, warm, and loved.  It was awesome.

Craig kept the girls while I went and spent 3 hours with the ladies, thank you again awesome hubby.  He also took the girls along with 3 other friends from the church to Finnway (spelling) Park for Family Faith Night.  They are not back home yet, but I'm sure they are having a wonderful time.  I can't wait to hear all about it.

So while they are out and were already gone when I got home, I've just had a quiet evening to myself spent being lazy on the couch watching a little television, reading, and catching up with some family and friends.

O, I almost forgot, I got to walk 2 miles on Thursday and Friday with the family.  I got to walk 2 miles with a friend on Saturday.  I haven't exercised in almost 2 months.  Wow it felt so nice, o and sore!  I'm so out of shape!

Wonderful weekend in my book!!!

Heading to dinner Friday night!

3 pretty girls ready for church!

The girls received a package in the mail Saturday from their MeMe.  It was stationary and stamps which couldn't have been more perfect because they mail notes to friends and family every week.  Thank you MeMe!

A basket full of great goodies and beautiful roses from the ladies today!

Take heed

Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.  Hebrews 2:1

I heard an excellent sermon last night (from the hubby) on avoiding the danger of neglecting your salvation from Hebrews 2: 1-9.  In this sermon, he stated that we should be addicted to God's Word.  In the world we live in, many people are addicted to many things.  This world has so much to offer, though not always good.  People are addicted to drugs, alcohol, pornography, television, their children/family, materialism.  We should desire God's Word above anything and everything.  When we fail to heed God's Word, there are consequences.  I pray the Lord will help me to take heed because all I want is to please Him.  May He make His desires my desires.  May He make me hunger and thirst for His Word always and to despise my sin.

Since making this, what I like to call, big move, a few people have said different things to me such as, I'm so proud of you, I admire your courage, I'm not so sure I would do it, so on and so forth.  While all of these sweet people meant well, I started letting this get into my head that I had done something special.  In a sense I've thought maybe I deserve to have what I want because I've done something good.  Wow, what a pitiful way to think, huh?  I didn't/don't even deserve that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and has saved me from eternal damnation, but He did, and He has called me to serve Him, wherever that may be, however that may look.  Sure it's difficult sometimes to be far from where you've always lived, your family and friends, but God is so good and so worthy to be praised, honored and served.  I'm not saying that I have arrived to where I need to be, but I am a work in progress with God's grace and power working in and through me.

I'm truly thankful that Jesus paid the ultimate price for my sins, saved me by His grace, and has chosen to use me/my family in some small way for His glory and His honor.  May I always take that serious and without self pity.

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.  Hebrews 2:9

First Day of School

Yesterday was our first day of school for 1st and 3rd grade!  We had a really good day.  It can get a little crazy adding a 2 year old in the mix, who is also potty training.  I think this is going to be a good school year!

Hopefully before too long we will have our 3rd girl in panties.  She sat on the potty for 20 minutes yesterday and got up and went to the bathroom in her diaper.  Ahhh, it may take a while, but we will get there.

Abby 3rd grade

Kyndal 1st grade

Anna Claire 2 years and 3 months, hoping to be fully potty trained in 3 months.  I'm hoping she will know her colors, shapes, and count to 10 by the end of the school year too.

Working hard

Being silly

I really like routine, so I'm glad to be back to a regular schedule each day.

Labor Day Fun

We went to some friends house for lunch and fellowship.  We honestly had just a wonderful time.  There were lots of kids, lots of playing, lots of laughing, and lots of memories!

Today just really ministered to our family in a great way and we are truly grateful!

The girls did their nails and toes.

Swimming!

Chilling!

Water guns and frisbee time!

Having a blast!

Kyndal changed out of her swim suit back into her clothes only to end up completely soaking wet a little while later.  She had to change again.  Anna Claire didn't get a nap at all, so she was delirious come 6 pm.  The girls had a really good time though, we all did!

Good Weekend

Friday afternoon the girls put on a dance show for us, that was quite entertaining.  Anna Claire gets very into it, it's so funny to watch!  I had to get video footage of it as well.

Friday night we had some friends over for dinner and fellowship.  We had a really great time with them.  They have 2 young children, a bit younger than Kyndal, but the kids all get along well and have lots of fun together.  No pics from the evening:(

Saturday after breakfast, we decided to go spend a few hours outside playing.  We went to a local playground and played for a while, then to a football field and played frisbee and football.  Then we went to the church's back yard and played football a while longer and Craig and the big girls played basketball in the gym.  We spent the rest of the day relaxing!

We only have 1 parking place outside our garage, so when we all leave in the van, Craig pulls into the garage and when we get home, we switch.  The girls wanted to ride in the back when he moved it out.  Don't worry he doesn't go out on the road!

Sunday after a great service at church, we went to lunch and then home to relax the rest of the day!

We had a really great weekend and enjoyed every minute of it!

Fashion Show

The girls are obsessed with having fashion shows.  They pull out every dress they own and make the biggest mess in their rooms, but they have fun.  They use their microphone to announce who is coming down the stairs and what they are wearing.  They try to get AC into it, but she will only put on one dress and then she is done!

She was done with the fashion show, but wanted her picture taken!

Last night after dinner, Craig took the girls to the park, so I could have a little quiet time and so he could spend some fun time with them.  He is such a good hubby and daddy!  He told the girls to go get socks and shoes on.  Kyndal got AC's, and of course she got the pink glittery ones and pink socks that didn't match, but oh well.  Kyndal loves her some pink.
