First big snow of 2014

It started snowing Thursday morning about 3 am and snowed until Friday about 9 am. We got a foot or more. It was super windy, so even when it quit snowing, it looked like it still was because it was blowing. The snow wasn't heavy this time.

We were getting cabin fever by Friday, so we decided to venture out about 10:30. We took the girls to sled for a little bit. There was no one there, so we had to make our own path. Anna Claire and I watched from the car where it was warm. They had lots of fun. Our high was 7 Friday, and the low was -10.

After playing we went to lunch and then to run a few errands before heading back to our warm house.

They were taking care of the roads, but they were still quiet slick, so you just have to be extra careful.

Girls Day Out

The girls got some gift cards for Christmas, so we spent a day out having some fun. They went and had manicures first and Anna Claire actually sat still the whole time and enjoyed it, she said. Next we went to swap Abby's tennis shoes she got. Then we went to lunch at Cracker Barrel. After lunch, we went to Wal-Mart so they could spend their gift cards and money. They really had lots of fun.

We had friends over that night for dinner and fellowship which is always lots of fun!

Ice Skating

Last Sunday we went ice skating with some people from church. It was SOOOO crowded that they ran out of my size skates, so me and Anna Claire watched with some of the other ladies. Everyone had a good time.

Christmas 13 (Part 1)

We had a really great Christmas this year. We spent the morning here at home as a family, then went to friends for lunch and fellowship. We all had a wonderful day.
