Last weekend Recap

Ha, I'm a little late on the weekend recap, but I wanted to do it anyways.

Friday night Craig and I went to the movies and dinner while a sweet friend kept the girls, for our anniversary.  We had a really good time.  The girls had a great time.  We did a little shopping after picking them up!  It was a late night for them:)

They made a ginger bread man cake and cookies while there!

They also made reindeer candy canes!

Saturday, I had a Christmas party to go to and Craig and the girls went to a band show.  That night we had our churches staff/leadership Christmas party here.  We had a great time.  It started snowing about 2 pm Sat and snowed until Sun about 12.  We got a foot of snow, so Craig and the girls went out and played in it.

Sunday Morning!

Sunday afternoon, the big girls and I made cookies while Anna Claire took a nap.  O and she isn't a big fan of the snow again this year.  I got her dressed in all her gear Sunday morning, and she came back in in 5 minutes.:)

Later that afternoon, the girls went to friends while Craig and I went and worked out together.  We went back to friends and had some dinner and enjoyed some time of fellowship before heading home for bed.

A nice day

Yesterday Craig and I went to the Senior Saints Christmas lunch while a good friend kept the girls for us.  We had a really good time with all our senior friends.  The girls had gymnastics that afternoon, but it started snowing about 12.  It was suppose to snow until this morning.  We tried to make it to gymnastics and got to that side of town and couldn't make it up some streets.  We saw several wrecks and once we got to town, I was wishing we would have stayed home.  I was SO nervous.  I slipped on the roads so many times.  What is normally a 15 minute drive one way turned into an hour and a half drive there and back.  I was so thankful once we arrived back at the church to get Craig.  He had meetings so we just waited, I wasn't driving anymore:)  Once he was done, we went to dinner and then home. 

The church, inside and out, is decorated so nicely.

The snow is so pretty and makes it look so bright outside at night, even though you can't tell that in this picture.

12 year Anniversary

Happy 12 years to my good hubby!  We have plans to work out together today and have some dinner:)  It's a big snowy day here!!!

Wii Bowling

Anna Claire is learning to play the Wii a little and the other day she wanted to play with Craig, so they played some bowling.  Anna Claire beat him by 2 points, and he didn't let her.  He played his best.  He couldn't believe she won.  She was so excited.  Every time she would roll a good one, she would run to the kitchen to tell me.  It was so cute.  They played another game and Craig beat her.  She wasn't very happy about that.  She kept saying, "No daddy, I won".

Caroling & fellowship

Saturday night several church members went caroling in one of the neighborhoods.  There were not lots of people home, but those who were seemed to be encouraged:)  It was freeeeeeeeeeeezing.  My blood is still so thin:)

Afterwards, several more people came to the house we were at for a fellowship dinner and oh my goodness, we had a blast.  We did LOTS of laughing.  It was truly a great time and we are thankful for the sweet hospitality we received.

Beauty

Yesterday morning we woke up to this...

We knew it was going to snow over night.  It wasn't much at all, but it's SO pretty to see the fresh fallen snow.  And, I love that they treat the roads before it comes and the roads are all nice and clear for you to get out and about.  I know the people around here are use to that, but we Alabamians are still getting use to it:)  Beautiful!

Holiday Parade

Our town puts on a holiday parade after Thanksgiving, and our church put a float in it this year depicting the REAL reason why we celebrate Christmas, which is the birth of Jesus Christ.  Those who put it together did an awesome job and so many participated, it was Awesome!  And I just want to note here that the Lord is really working and moving at our church and it's such a joy to see and be a part of!

Craig and the big girls participated, so Anna Claire and I walked down to watch it with a friend.  We sat in the sun to try and get some heat so it made a glare in my pictures.  It was freeeeeeeezing.  When it was over Anna Claire wanted me to carry her heavy behind back home.  I burned some more calories on that trip.  Wore me out.  It took about 20 minutes after getting home to thaw out, seriously!

This was another church float and it's hard to see, but it was the Advent candles with a big wreath around it.  It was really pretty!  

After the parade we had a few friends over to watch the Iron Bowl.  Wow, what a game.  Roll Tide.
