A night of bowling

We went bowling last night with lots of friends from church. We had lots of fun. I quit after 1 game. I was tired. We had a group of 40 or more, so there was lots of fellowshipping going on!!

Expander

Kyndal had a palate expander put in on Tuesday. She has been doing the prep that led up to the expander for the last two weeks. For 28 days we will tighten the expander every night before bed. Last night was our first time. She is such a trooper and so easy going.

After the 28 days, if it's how they want it, it stays in for 6 months. If it's not how they want it, we will tighten it a few more days and then stays for 6 months. Then she will wear a retainer at night until it's time for braces.

Thankful to get this corrected while she is still young. Thankful for good dentists and orthodontists. Thankful for Kyndals sweet easy going spirit.

PS: keeping that thing clean is a JOB:)

Celebrating

Dad's/Hubby's birthday...

We went to dinner Sunday night with friends which was his birthday.  So we did our traditional birthday dinner on Monday night.  The birthday person picks the menu and opens their gifts.

Now his gift from me.  Grandmother, those are the Reese's PB eggs, and he says they make him think of you.  That's one of the reasons I got them:)

Weekend Recap

Friday, Craig and I had an afternoon dentist appointment (that went very well thankfully), and a sweet friend kept the girls for us. She told us to go out afterwards, so we did. We walked around the mall and went to dinner. We had a really good time.

Saturday, we had a birthday party and had good friends over for dinner.

Sunday, we had church, The nursing home ministry the girls are a part of, and ladies night out.

It was a pretty busy weekend, and we enjoyed it all:)

Around here...

It's still freeeeezzzzzing cold.  I just heard the weather man say we are only going down to 10 tonight like that was a pleasant thing.  I guess considering it's usually 0 or below, that is a nice thing:(  I'm SO ready for summer.  There is still a ton of snow on the ground too.

The girls are still loving dance/gymnastics.

I'm so ready to start running outside and signing up for 5K's.  It's still my goal one day to at least run a half marathon.  I do love going to the gym to though.

I looked up curriculum for next year and realized Anna Claire will begin school next year.  Crazy!!!!
We will have a 5th grader, 3rd grader, and 4Ker (I made that up).  They are growing up fast.

Both girls are still doing really well in school this year.  Still maintaining A/B honor roll.

They are taking their SAT's next week.

Kyndal begins orthodontic care tomorrow.  She begins the process of having a palate expander put in.  It will be in at least 7 months, then wear a retainer until time for braces.  Hoping this process doesn't cause her pain and fixes the issue with her teeth.

March is a pretty busy month, but maybe that will make the spring get here sooner:):)

We have a birthday party this weekend where we are suppose to go sledding:)

Seeing His hand

I remember sitting on our bed about 1 month after being married talking about how ministry could take us different places.  I knew before I married Craig that there was a possibility of moving away from where I had always lived, but didn't really think it would.  As I sat there that night, I said "I will go just about anywhere in the US, but I won't go out of the country".  I remember as if it were yesterday really thinking that that was very logical and ok for me to think and say.  Today, it's almost embarrassing to admit that I thought it, much less said it.  I did tell him too, that I really didn't ever want to move too far from AL.  Again, for some reason in my small and very immature mind, I thought we would always stay right close to where we were.

The Lord did keep us there in the same area for about 8 years.  Then He took us to south AL, about 3 hours from "home".  That wasn't too bad, but it felt far away for a while.  We were in a small town, which we were not use too, but we managed.  The Lord had us there for almost 4 years.

Then He sent us to NH, yes NH, over 1200 miles away from "home", that's over 21 hours in the car, and about a 3 hour flight.  However, this family of 5 drives, because it's much cheaper, and good bonding time.  I never in a million years thought we would live that far away from "home".  Looking back now I see how the Lord worked in my heart and helped me to mature over the years.  It definitely took that 3 hour away from "home" move, to get me to the 21 hour away from "home" move. 

Sometimes it's a little hard being so far away from family.  We miss seeing them often and miss the girls being able to be close (to play with) their cousins and grandparents, but the Lord has provided a great church family for us.  He has provided some great friends, and we are thankful.  Some days are harder than others, but thankfully those are few and far between.  More than anything, it's a real blessing to see how the Lord is working here in NH.  It's a blessing to be a part of it.  It's a blessing to be used by Him in a small way. 

My home is not on this earth.  I'm just passing through.  Hoping to make a small difference while here.  I'm so grateful that the Lord has grown me and worked in my life, and I pray He continues to grow me each and every day to further His Kingdom and to bring Honor and Glory to His name.
