Trail & Homemade Ice Cream

We have been walking on the trail pretty regularly, at least 3-4 days a week.  As we were leaving to go yesterday, the bottom fell out.  Craig had left before us, because he likes to walk faster than us.  He of course got caught in the rain.  We waited until the rain quit and got out to meet him.  After getting .25 miles down the trail it started raining again.  I was already wondering if I should have Anna Claire out since she has a cold, so we ran back to the car.  Before it rained, I got me some pics as we lingered waiting on Craig!

After dinner, Craig made his first (of many I'm sure) batch of homemade ice cream.  He loves to make it, and the girls love for him to.  While they did that, I did some 30 day shred.  I guess if you exercise, you can eat ice cream, right?!?!?

The Pilgrimage is this weekend, and we had planned to stroll around town today, but it's been raining ever since yesterday afternoon.  Soooo, we have been washing, drying, putting away, and ironing clothes, doing school, washing dishes, cleaning out drawers, and about to start pricing things for the yard sale.

This child has a ton of energy and could entertain herself for hours!

Her favorite seat in the house!

Ramble

We had gymnastics yesterday, so we left a little early to do some grocery shopping and I got me a couple of dresses too!  Not at the grocery store though!LOL

We decided, we are going to skip spring break and do some school work on a few Saturday's so we can be done with school two weeks early.  We were set to finish on May 23, now we will finish on May 12.  Yeah!

Craig took a young boy from church fishing today and Kyndal went with him.  She was super excited for some time with her daddy and for fishing.  She called me a minute ago and said she caught 2 fish!  I wish I had pics, but I don't.

Poor little Anna Claire has a cold again!  I don't know if it's allergies or not, but she is sneezing and has a runny nose.  She has a really small temperature too.  She does go to the doctor next week for a follow up from her ear infection.  I hope she is feeling much better by then.

I am going to make the big girls a chore chart today, and I pumped.  They do help out, but sometimes I have to remind them quite often, so I thought a chart might help!

I bought an electric pencil sharpener today and it seems to eat the pencil more than sharpen it!

Teaching a child to read is Really not easy for me.  It may be for some, but not for me.  There are SO many rules and exceptions and trying to explain all of that to a 6 year old can just be difficult sometimes.  I'm glad Abby learned at school!

Speaking of school, Abby and Kyndal are both doing very well.  I'm very proud of them both.  Abby is not a fan of math, but she is doing good.

That's enough, hope everyone has a great weekend!

She loves to carry around this bucket!

Weekend Recap

Friday night we had a pastor's dinner to attend.  It was nice, however no other children showed up, so it was just ours, but that's okay!

Getting a picture with Anna Claire looking at the camera is almost impossible!

Saturday, we went to Columbus and did some more spring/summer shopping for the girls, and I scored two dresses myself!  I took my camera with every intention to take a couple of pics, and never took the camera out, boo.  We had a nice lunch together and just enjoyed the day out in the beautiful weather.  We had a meeting at 3 pm and afterwards the girls played outside, we went for a family walk on the trail, and then I cooked dinner.  It was a very nice family day.

Sunday, we had two great services and more beautiful weather.  After lunch, the baby took a nap and Craig went for a walk on the trail and when he got home, the big girls and I went for a walk on the trail.  It's not their most favorite thing to do, but I intend on making them exercise regularly.

She was just a dancing with her bear!

Fun with Family

So, Craig had revival this week and said it went so very well.  He got back home Thursday at 3 am.  He was ready to get home to his family and we were ready to have him back.

While he was gone, my mom came and stayed until Monday morning.  Eron came on Sunday afternoon and stayed until Thursday after lunch.  We had lots of fun having them here with us.  We did lots of shopping, did some baking, playing on the Wii and trampoline, riding bicycles, walks on the trail, lunch playdates, washing cars, watching movies, playing outside, eating shaved ice, going to church, and just enjoying each others company.

Abby had the SAT Tues, Wed, and Thurs.  She is glad it's over and thinks she did well.

This is how she felt after the exciting week!!!

Shop till you drop

Saturday we went shopping in Dothan with mom.  We got the girls Easter dresses and a few spring/summer outfits.  We had a good lunch and just enjoyed some sweet time with Grandmother.

This is the only pic I got while we were out.  AC wanted to walk, so Kyndal hopped in the stroller, she said she was tired of walking!!!!!!!

Monday, we left the house at 9 am and headed to Columbus so Eron could register for her baby shower.  We got back home that afternoon at 5:15 pm.  Whew, it was a long, rather hot day, but it was fun.  We went into so many stores, I lost count, and with 4 kids at that.  We enjoyed some good lunch together and some good ice cream from Bruster's.  We enjoyed the day out with one another.  I got some good deals on some Easter/spring/summer shoes for all 3 girls.  Yeah!

Registering at Babies R Us (we had two buggies and made them all ride to try and contain the craziness!)

Registering at Target (AC was in the stroller)

How much longer of this????

I'm done!!!

I knew that after lunch, it may get difficult for Anna Claire, because she naps after lunch everyday for about 3 hours.  However, after lunch we still a few more stops to make.  I put her in her stroller hoping she may fall asleep and she did.  Success!  We had a fun day!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to our sweet Daddy (my husband).  He left just before lunch to head to SC for revival, but we did have a birthday dinner last night while in Dothan at LaParrilla.  This morning, we went for breakfast, cleaned our cars, and then he packed and left.  The big girls had total melt downs, but seem a little better now.  Not so sure how the rest of school will go as far as them being able to focus, but we will give it our best shot.  We will miss dad, but are looking forward to see how the Lord will work through him while he is there.  We will have sweet company to keep us entertained too.

Craig, you are a wonderful husband, daddy, and pastor.  I honestly couldn't have a better person to share this life with and I am extremely grateful.  I pray we have many many more years to grow together this side of Heaven, (unless Jesus comes back to take us all)!!!  You are such a blessing in our family.

We had to make a trip to Publix (I love that store)!

LOVE these girls

We love you BIG Craig and hope you have a most Wonderful day!  Happy Birthday!!!

Fellowship with friends

Last Saturday evening we went to some sweet folks house for dinner.  It was so good, as usual, and the fellowship was great too.  The girls went early to play with Lexie, and they had lots of fun.  The weather was so nice outside.

She actually wanted me to hold her most of the time, but she did play for about 5 minutes.

The big girls eating outside!

Anna Claire usually won't have anything to do with Mrs. Bobbie no matter how hard she tries, but she finally let her hold her for just a few minutes.  Mrs. Bobbie wanted proof!!!

The guys talking!

Mrs. Bobbie was gently rubbing AC's face and she about fell asleep!  It was soooo funny.

Silly girls having fun and making a mess!

My mom and sister are coming to visit while Craig is gone to SC.  We are looking forward to their visit for sure.  Praying Craig has a safe trip and great revival services.
