Thursday Tidbits

I sat on the deck in the beautiful sunshine with the wind blowing for a few hours on Monday.  It was so nice.  I did get a few weird stares though, and I'm sure it didn't have anything to do with the fact that I was looking like a good ole Bama redneck trying to get a tan on my SUPER white legs! Ha

After today, we have 3 days of school left for this year and to say we are super duper excited is an understatement.

I do already have their curriculum for next year, but I won't think about that until August!

Speaking of August, we will have been living here for a year.  It's gone by pretty quickly.  It's been a great experience thus far.  Hope it only gets better!!!

We don't really have any big plans for the summer.  We will have some park days, some beach days, lots of chilling on the deck days, and who knows what else.  There are several places in Mass. that offer free days on Friday's, so I'm sure we will check that out some too.  Just happy to not do school for a while.

The girls have a sleeplover birthday party next week and they are excited about it.  Anna Claire and I will have to find something to get into while they are gone!

Craig and Abby are going on a hike with the church on Saturday.  Maybe we will clean while they are gone, doesn't that sound like fun?!?!?

We try to have a different couple/family over once a week for dinner and fellowship.  I love entertaining.  I'm not sure how entertaining it is, but I enjoy doing it:)

Our "baby" will be 3 years old in less than 2 weeks.  Kinda crazy.  She still seems like a little baby to me though.  She does still give me a run for my money every most days.  Love her:)

We are having her a small Minnie Mouse party here at home next weekend.  Looking forward to that.

After tomorrow, we are halfway through the C25K training.  Only 4 more weeks and I should will be able to run 3.2 miles without stopping!

Loving the warm, pretty days (if I haven't gotten that point across already).:)

Last few days

We went to Senior Saints lunch last week.  It was suppose to be at the lake, but it rained, so it was moved to the church.  They had a couple of games set up and some bubbles which Anna Claire loved!

She is so darn cute

On Saturday, we went to Amanda's 6th birthday party.  I didn't even take my camera in:(  Her sweet momma sent me a cute pic though.

Blowing out her candle!

On Sunday after church, we went to John Michael's 1st Birthday party.  He is the cutest little baby, who smiles all the time.

Before church

AC loves to play with him when no one is looking.

He would crawl off, and AC would follow behind and he would stop to make sure she was still following him.

So sweet!

We had some friends over Sunday evening and enjoyed some good food and fellowship.

Thankful for good times, and great friends:)

Memorial Day Fun

We have had a wonderful Memorial day.  Very thankful to all the men and women who fight for our freedom and for their families who make great sacrifices and have to be away from them too much.  Thank you!!!

I started the day off with a run, that felt a bit brutal, but no pain, no gain, right????  (that sentence has a lot of comma's)

We went to a local parade here in town with friends and then went to their house for lunch on the back deck, which was so good, and so fun.  The kids had a great time playing inside and outside.  It rained here for 7 days in a row and actually got really cold on Sat. and Sun.  It actually snowed more North of us.  CRAZY!  So it was beautiful today and we enjoyed it:)

We had more friends over for dinner, which was also lots of fun.  I didn't get any pics though:(

Ready for the Parade to begin!

I love seeing the bands!

The Beauty Queen's

The girls were sitting on the curb until they saw these pretty dogs coming and then they hopped up quickly!  Ha

Craig jumping rope!

She was squirting him with water and thought it was hilarious!

Well I had a cute picture of the kids, but for some reason it is coming up sideways on here, so I took it off.

Worms, Planting, and Cuties

We were getting some good dirt the other day for planting some okra and Kyndal found a worm and picked it up and brought it home with us.  Yes, our kids are scared of all animals, but this kid will carry around a worm in her hand.  Gross!!

Yucky!

A friend at the church does a lot of gardening and I've been talking to him about planting.  He gave us some okra and tomato's to plant, so we are all over it.  I hope it all grows really well.  I'm excited.  This is my first try at planting:)

Hope to grow lots!

Anna Claire is a big ham with the camera.  I mean if I just get it out she is ready to cheese.  Little cutie bug.  Kyndal also loves the camera and to pose for it.  Abby could take it or leave it:)  I took so many pics of her as a baby, she is over it now!

Maine

Some good friends of ours asked us several weeks ago if we wanted to go to Maine with them to the Marginal Way.  So, we went yesterday.  It's a walk around part of the coast.  So very pretty.  The weather was just beautiful, though a little cool, especially near the water.  We wore jackets on the walk up but took them off for the walk back, because we got warm while walking.  We went to lunch, went to another location and saw a lighthouse, stopped for some yummy ice cream, made a stop at Stonewall Kitchen, and then headed back home.  It was a super fun day and I got lots of pics.

I was a nervous wreck when they started climbing on these rocks

I felt better about playing with these rocks!lol

Anna Claire, Abby, Amanda, Matthew, and Kyndal

There were actually a couple of people in the water!  The water was fReEzInG.

Sweet girls!

Sean and Craig in deep conversation over Mario Bros.  Ha

AC fell asleep in the car for a few minutes and we woke her up to get out and she was a bit ill, so she wasn't in a picture mood.

I didn't get a picture of them eating their ice cream because I was busy eating my own and it was gooood!

She sure enjoyed hers!!!

I thought the tulips were so pretty, so are the girls:)
