Opening day...

for the splash pad was Friday and it was a very cool day.  It was only like 70 degrees.  It was VERY windy too, which made it even more cooler.  The girls ran through the water once and grabbed their towels fast.  They were freezing.  The wind was blowing so much, I couldn't even get away from the water, and it was cold.  So we moved on to the park and played for a while.  We will go back on a hot day:)

4 years

Anna Claire had her 4 year old check up Friday.  It was a good visit and she seems to be healthy and well.  She stuck to me like glue.  She is not a fan of the doctors office.  She did very well and is growing fast.  She did get 2 shots, bless her heart, she never even flinched.  When the nurse was done, she looked at me and said, "momma that hurt".  Her arm bothered her all day and she had a small fever most of the afternoon and evening too.

Her 4 year stats are:  Height:  3 feet, 2.75 inches (28%)
                                  Weight:  34 pounds (42%)

She got hot pink band aids!

Lite up the Nite

I ran my first 5K of the year Thursday night.  I was a bit nervous about it since it was at night, because I run in the mornings and it's much easier in my opinion.  I found after I signed up that it was a trail race, which I've never done.  I was also really excited.  I had an awesome cheering squad.  Love my family for being so supportive and encouraging.  I also had some great friends who were very supportive and encouraging.

So we set off, straight up a hill, and up another hill.  75%, if not more of this trail run was on dirt, gravel, rocks, grass, and up hills, steep hills.  It was killer.  I walked at least a mile of it in between running spurts.  It was beyond hard and exhausting.  As a matter of fact, had I known how hard it was going to be, I don't think I would have signed up for it, but I'm glad I did.  It was a good challenge and now I have my hardest race behind for the year.  My time was 35:15.  I was so hoping to complete it in 31 minutes as I had all week, but I was pleased with my time considering how very challenging this race was.

My husband and kids were awesome cheerleaders and I appreciated it SO very much.  A lady running by me even commented that they were inspiring her:)

Before the race with my cheerleaders

Here we go!

We weren't even into it 5 minutes here, and my calves were killing me from the hills!

I've never been so happy to see a finish line:)  I will definitely have to get in better shape before I ever think about doing a trail race again!

My biggest fan and our baby:)  So happy it was O.v.E.r

My good friend works for the place that put the race together.  It was called Lite up the Nite, to support mental health.  My good friend was the one who asked me to do it, and after I signed up informed me that it was a trail run and you couldn't use earphones:(  Love you Jenn:)

Cookout Fun

We went to some good friends house for a cook out on Saturday afternoon.  They have a nice back yard, that's a big hill and the girls and Craig had fun playing.  I just watched:)  We had a really great time of food and fellowship.

Weekend Recap

Friday, the girls had friends over for the evening.  I didn't get any pictures of them though.

Saturday, Craig had Men's Breakfast, then we went to a graduation party.  Kyndal and I went for a run/walk, then we went to a cookout and had a great time.

Sunday, after a great service at church, we took Craig to lunch, and then just chilled out the rest of the day.

We had really good weather Sat afternoon and all day Sunday.  Yahoo.  It rained several days last week, so it was nice to see some pretty sunlight.

Happy Father's Day to my Dad, who I love and am looking forward to seeing soon, Lord willing.

Happy Father's Day to my husband, the father of our girls, one of the best Dad's I've seen.  Our girls are very blessed to have you as their Daddy.  Hope your day is special, and hope we all get to celebrate Many more Father's Day's with you:)  We all love you very much.

The Birthday

We of course always celebrate the girls birthday's on their actual birthday's as a family.  The girls and I went to a fun day (more on that later) that morning and did some running around.  That evening before church, we had dinner and cookies and a few more gifts for the birthday girl.

She picked spaghetti and monkey cookies for her dinner and dessert.  She opened her gifts from all of us, we sang to her, and then headed to church.  I think she had a really great birthday:)

Fun Day

Chevy invited the girls to a fun day at her school one day last week.  We went for a couple of hours, the girls played and had a good time.  It was really nice weather, maybe even a bit cool.

The donut competition.  Abby and Kyndal didn't win, but they sure enjoyed a donut before lunch!

I'm sure she will look at this one day and say I can't believe you put this on here:)

Her too!!! LOL  They would both say something if they saw that I was putting it on here now, but that's why I don't let them watch me:)  It's a great memory though:)

She actually played really well by herself for quiet some time.

It was a fun day indeed!!!

Five on Friday

1.  We have had a really fun and busy first week of summer vacation.  We went to a fun day, grocery shopping, swim suit shopping, next year's school curriculum shopping, the girl's last dance class, guitar practice, and several other little things.  We are having little friends over tonight, a cookout tomorrow night, and church and fun with Daddy on Sunday:)

2.  A friend of mine told me there was a wing place in Concord that she heard was really good.  When she told me what it was, I was SO excited!!!! Buffalo Wild Wings:)  It is really good, but it so made me think of AL.  The girls and I went for lunch the next day, which just so happen to be kids eat for $2 day.  Can't beat that:)

O so yummy!  And very fattening and bad for you, even though I love it and felt at home for about an hour, I won't be going there too often.  Haha  They had tablets for kids to play with, and of course the girls loved that!

3.  It's been very rainy here this week, but suppose to be pretty tomorrow afternoon and the next few days.  Ready for some sunshine.

4.  We are on the countdown for something exciting, Lord willing, and we are SUPER DUPER excited!!!

5.  We have another busy week planned for next week.  Dentist visits, Dr. visits, Senior Saints, Father's Day, guitar practice, my first 5K for this year, and a special birthday party to name a few (in no certain order)!!!

Have a Happy and Blessed Weekend:):):)

Enjoying the outdoors

The other day was just beautiful outside and the temperature was wonderful.  We played outside that morning for about 2 hours and it was 69 degrees.  So nice.  The girls played with sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and did some gymnastics.  They had fun and I had fun watching them:)

Doing dive rolls over Anna Claire!  I guess that's what happens when you're the baby:)
