More snow

Last Sunday we got another snow.  This time it was big flakes and very wet, so we could make good snow balls and such.  It was messy enough that we had to cancel church service along with MANY other churches around.  We had our own sweet service at home, then walked to the park and played around.  We had a really great day together.  However, I'm looking forward to spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you tell how big the snowflakes are???

Kyndal bop

Abby lou

Banny boo   This kid has all sorts of nick names and the other day I said come on Banny (one of her nick names) and she said "momma, AC"  I cracked up!

This was Monday morning.  It had stopped snowing, but because it was a wet heavy snow it froze on the trees, and it was absolutely beautiful Monday morning.  It melted off the trees by lunch time.

I never dreamed that one day I would have so many pictures of us in the snow.  What a blessing!

The Pond

There is a park right near our house that has a pond.  The girls actually swam in it once this past summer.  Any who, now that it is frozen over and they have ice skates, they go skating on it.  The day Abby got her skates, they wanted to go out.  However it was the day after the blizzard so the pond was covered in 2 ft of snow.  Their sweet Daddy took them and the snow shovel and made them a big circle to skate on.  What a good Daddy he is!  They stayed out until dark.  Anna Claire and I ran a few errands and came back to watch.  Anna Claire Hates walking in the snow, so I had to carry her to the pond, which can feel really far away when you are holding a 26 lb child in 2 ft of snow.  Little stinker!

When the girls ask to go skating on the pond, which is everyday, Anna Claire will go up to Craig and say "me pond daddy".  It's cute!

Duck Doosey...

Otherwise known as Duck Duck Goose!!!  Anna Claire has a special love for this game.  The other night when Craig and the girls were playing the Wii, AC started yelling duck doosey.  She wanted them to play with her.  They did and then Craig made up another game to play and we had a blast playing little silly games with the kids.  We actually do this pretty often now before they go to bed.  It's great fun.

We had to teach her how the game really works, because she was running all over the house and Abby and Kyndal were just doing what she wanted to.  Now, we play the right way!!

Ice Skating

Craig took Abby and Kyndal on seperate dates to wherever they wanted to go.  They both wanted to go ice skating.  Kyndal went first and she actually did a walk on in a class, so she got to learn a little.  They went to dinner at a Mexican Restaurant which was Kyndal's choose and because she liked ice skating so much they headed to the mall to buy her a pair of ice skates.  She was thrilled as you can imagine and came home to show and tell us all about their special night.

That's her in the brown coat and pink pants.

When he took Abby it was public skate, so they both got to skate.  However he forgot the camera so no pics of that trip.  They too went to the Mexican Restaurant, which was Abby's pick and then she also got a pair of ice skates since she enjoyed it so much.  So, they are both taking ice skating lessons which begin on March 4th and they couldn't be more excited about it.

Around here

So there is still lots of snow on the ground, but I hear it stays that way until about April or May.  There have been lots of pretty days lately though.  Some days in the 40's, which is super nice after many days in the 20's.  I think it's funny that the 40's feels good now! Ha

Church is going good, we love our new church family.  It's been a real blessing to our family being here and being a part of this congregation.

I got the afternoon off Friday and had lunch with a sweet friend and then got to blog all by myself in the quiet.  Thank you sweet hubby!

I love hearing messages that encourage, inspire, and challenge me to go deeper in my walk with Jesus.

School is going well and the girls are doing good.  Anna Claire repeats all of the spelling words when we are doing test and it's really funny.

The last two Saturdays were spent with great friends enjoying dinner and cards.  It was wonderful fun!

This little girls loves to eat!

So does this girl and she loves fruit!

Abby and Kyndal LOVE to play Mario Brothers with their Daddy!

Picnic at Daddy's office. She is still loving to sport hairbows!! YEAH

Another picnic at Daddy's office.  We like to picnic with Daddy maybe once a week or every two weeks!  It gets us out of the house and we get to spend time with Craig!

Chocolate pudding face!  Priceless

Fairies

A sweet lady from church gave the girls some fairy costumes that they love to play in.  They seem to fit Kyndal perfectly, while too big for AC, and too small for Abby.  They have had lots of fun doing dance shows and such in them.

Sweet silly girls!!!

Blizzard 13

Well we have now experienced our first blizzard in New England.  It was beautiful to see the snow falling.  The wind was a bit crazy though.  We kept power, thanks to our gracious God.  We went for a walk to the park on Saturday morning, but it was still snowing hard and very windy, so Anna Claire and I didn't stay out long.  It was too deep to sled so Craig and the other 2 didn't stay out too very long either.  It started snowing Friday around 11 am and quit Saturday around 12 pm.  We got about 2 feet, but because of the wind, some places were much deeper than that.  Now it's time to have some fun playing in it which is what Craig and the girls are doing now!

Look at the snow between the screen and the glass.  It never fully covered our deck because of the wind.

I know, terrible pic, but that's how deep the snow was.

Several snow banks on the way to church this morning.  Look you can't even see the Burger King, because the banks are so high!

Snow banks in the grocery store parking lots are Enormous.

The last time we were in a blizzard was in March of 93 when one hit in AL.  I'm not sure how much snow there was, can't remember that far back. It's neat to be in a place too where they are prepared for this weather and you can be on the streets when it's all over with.  Life just keeps going on as normal. What a great experience this has been for us though!  Thankful!!!
