First day of school fun

We had a scavenger hunt for the girls on Tuesday (our first day of school).  Maybe it could be called a clue card hunt.  I gave them a clue card that led them to the next and so on.  The final card sent them to a little prize of a few things they can use for school and a little snack:)  The girls seemed to have a fun time and we certainly enjoyed watching them.  We did that while our breakfast casserole baked in the oven.

Ha!  Hiding them in the car was the only place I wasn't afraid of them finding them before I wanted them to:)

This was fun for me too, so we will have to incorporate something like this the first day of every year!  O, and those tooth brushes were from their dental visits on Monday:)

Weekend Recap

Friday, we spent the day in Boston and hanging out with our friends Felix and Sevastin.

Saturday, the girls had soccer try outs.  I use the word try outs loosely.  They were seeing if it was something they wanted to do.  It's at a local church in town, and only through the months of September and October.  The big girls are doing it, but Anna Claire was no longer impressed when she had to separate from her sisters and go to her own age group, so she opted out this year.  Then we spent the afternoon at the church supporting the youth group in their fundraiser for their mission trip next summer, and we enjoyed some home made pizza while we were there.

Sunday after a great service at church, we went to a park with some friends.  This park has soccer fields, ball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, a playground, and a walking/bike trail.  It's really nice.  We played there for over 2 hours and had a really good time!

Ha!  This is a lame picture of the park, but I was too busy having fun to take pictures:)

Last bit of summer fun

Friday we had planned to have our last trip to the beach, but the high was 67, so that wouldn't have been much fun.  We decided on going to Boston instead, so the cool temperature and wind felt nice as we walked around the town.  We had lunch at Cheers (Craig's favorite), walked around a good bit, and went on the Swan boat ride.  We had a good time.

My lunch:)

The Swan ride!

We went into this pretty church building to take a look!

Craig and his cup, that yes went all over town with us.  Yes I was embarrassed!!!

Eagle Cup

(This is Craig's post: from Craig entirely)

The Eagle Cup, while not recognized nationwide, is one of the most coveted and prestigious awards in my amateur golfing career.  The young guns of my family play the old men in a best ball 18 hole round of golf.  Last year in April, Rick, my dad, and Ken, my uncle, won the cup in dramatic fashion at the beautiful Roegusta Municipal Course.  This year with fire in our eyes and passion in our bellies, me and Matt, my brother, were determined to recapture the cup at the very challenging Castle Pines.  The out come was never in doubt with the young guns taking an early lead, we went on to shoot a 78, which left the old men playing catch up for the rest of the round and posting a final score of 83.  We make a lot of memories, have a lot of laughs, and share a lot of love every time we compete for the Eagle Cup.  This year, it was my turn to take the cup to my house in NH.  Today the cup went on tour in Boston and drew some attention from security at Fenway Park.  I hope everyone, especially my brother, dad, and uncle enjoy these special pictures of our beloved Eagle Cup.

5 on Friday

1.  We were planning our last trip to the beach today before school starts, but the high is 67, so that wouldn't be too much fun.  We are going to walk around the Market Place and Gardens in Boston instead!

2.  The girls have soccer try outs tomorrow morning.  Well it's not really try outs per se but they are going to see if they like it and whether or not they want to play.  It's a church league here in town, so I think it will be good and fun for them.

3.  We have a homemade pizza lunch fellowship at the church tomorrow, as well as supporting our youth group's car wash:)

4.  Our little cuties start school Tuesday!!!  They will be in 5th, 3rd, and 4K.

5.  College football begins next Saturday!  Roll Tide:)

Fishercats Game

Saturday night, we went with a group of friends from the church to a Fishercats game.  It was lots of fun!  We didn't hang till the end.  There was a firework show after the game, but we left around 9:15 and it was only in the 5th inning.  Some folks didn't get home till 11:45!  Way to late for this crew and we had been up since 5:45, which is way early for this crew! Ha:)

She had already had some cotton candy and coke!  O my, that doesn't happen often:)

Anna Claire said, why didn't you get me in the picture!!!
