Ice Skating

Abby and Kyndal started their ice skating lessons last Monday and are loving it.  They are doing a good job too.  With the classes they got 8 free passes to go skate anytime, so we took them last Friday and Craig skated with them.  We will try to take them every week after classes for extra practice.

Hair cuts

Craig, Abby, and Anna Claire had hair cuts the other day and our new hair dresser fixed Abby's hair sooooo cute after cutting it.  Craig's sister, Rikki, always cut our hair back home, but we have found another excellent hair stylist here thanks to a friend recommending her.  We love her already, she is great.

She called this a sunburst braid.  It was so pretty!

The Symphony

On Thursday we went on a field trip to the Boston Symphony Orchestra with some other homeschooling friends, and even some new friends.  It was a cloudy, cold, extremely windy that quickly turned into a snow storm once we got back home kind of day.  We had a really great time though.  I got an awesome workout walking to the building from the parking garage wearing the wrong shoes and carrying Anna Claire.  Ha, I needed the workout for sure.  The concert lasted about an hour and it was very good.  Afterwards we went to lunch and then headed back home.

P.S. We just went for a Saturday afternoon walk as a family IN THE SUN!!  Can we say AWEsome?!?!?  It was a wonderful feeling.  It's in the high 40s today and just feels excellent.  We just had a hoping our last snow storm that ended yesterday morning.  A lot of it has already melted and we have a couple of 50 degree days coming up this week and a day of rain, so more melting!!!!  Come on spring.  Oh and I'm soooooo excited that the time changes tonight too:)  Happy Weekend!

Winter break fun Part 2

After lunch on Thursday, we went to the big hill in town to sled with some friends.  We stayed out for about 2 hours having a blast.  It was about 50 degrees so it felt awesome.  We had a really great time.  There were a couple of crazy crashes, but everyone made it out okay, thankfully.  We really just had a great day with some really great friends making some priceless memories.  And the girls were completely exhausted by 7 pm.

She only slid one time and didn't love it so she just threw snowballs.

They all four (Sarah, Abby, Amanda, and Kyndal) slid together on that fast thing a few times.  They went to the very top of the hill and flew down.  Before we left they went on another hill super fast and flew right into the hay stacks hard.  It wasn't pretty.  They all ended up okay though.

Jenn got some really great pictures and videos too that I will try to put on her later when I have some more time to play around with it.  She got Craig and Sean's burn out on video.  It's funny to watch knowing they are okay.

The girls went to a friends house Friday morning for a few hours while I grocery shopped by myself. and then ended their weekend with a sleep over Friday night with Sarah and Amanda.  We had a few other friends come over for the evening too, but not spend the night.  The girls had a really great time together.

Winter break fun Part 1

Here in NH, they have a winter break for a week in Feb.  We didn't take off the whole week, but we did Thursday and Friday.  On Thursday, a few friends got together and went to a place called Cowabunga's.  It's a place that has the inflatables and other fun things to do.  It was SUPER crowded since school was out, but we had a really great time.  After playing for 2 hours, we went to lunch at Subway and took up most of the tables!  It was a great day with great friends.

Craig and I raced on that too, and of course he beat me, but I had an awesome finish.  I did a back flip right off that slide onto the floor, and not on purpose.  It didn't hurt though, thank goodness.
