He is Faithful!

There is a precious older family whose lives were turned upside down in Tuscaloosa during the tornado's in April.  After rebuilding their home and getting things back in order, the week before Thanksgiving, their home burned.

Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial;  for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.   James 1:12

This sweet family are faithful in their home church, and their church and others have shown them Christlike love in such an awesome way.  They are moving into their new home which is right down the street from their old home very soon.  They have been blessed with new clothes, shoes, food and other things to stock in their new house.  I can't imagine what life has been like for them in the past 7 1/2 months, but God has provided and protected them every step of the way.

It is a trustworthy statement:  For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him;  If we endure, we will also reign with Him;  If we deny Him, He also will deny us;  If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.  2 Timothy 2:11-13

I know they could still use lots of prayers as they transition once again into a new home and after going through such sadness and devastation.  God is good!!!

Curls

Last night after taking a shower, Kyndal ask me if I would braid their hair so that they could sleep on it and it would be curly tomorrow.  I use to do this when I was small too.

They must have asked me at least 25 times in 30 minutes this morning to take it down.

They loved their curls.  AC couldn't be left out!  When I tell A & K to stand up so I can take a picture, AC always stands up and moves right beside them.  It's too funny!  Love our girls!

Just a few words on Wednesday....

The girls had their last co-op class for the semester yesterday and had little Christmas parties.  The high here was 80.  It was hot too.  While walking in a short sleeve shirt yesterday morning I was sweating.  So after class all 3 girls wanted to play outside.  After coming in A & K said I'm burning up, and I was cooking so it was really hot in here.  I had to turn on the air (in December).  This morning while walking in a jacket, the temp was 52 and has gone down throughout the day, I hope we don't get sick.

That little twig sticking out on the left of her head is the lovely knot she made in her hair!!!
She doesn't really dig the sisterly pics at this age!

Tuesday's Totally Random

Craig and I went to a pastor's dinner last night in Clayton.  We had a good time, it's always nice for just the two of us to get out for a bit.  A sweet friend kept the girls for us.

After we took a picture in front of the tree, that you actually can't see, AC went and stood there and said cheeeese!

Then she ran off amidst the picture taking.

Daddy with his sweet girls!

Craig had to make a quick trip to Columbus yesterday afternoon and Abby wanted to ride with him, so she did.  While she was gone Kyndal wanted to call her because she was missing her.  When they got back Craig told me Abby said she couldn't wait to get back and play with Kyndal.  After about 30 minutes they were back to arguing with each other.  They are sooooo funny.

When we got home last night, I put A & K to bed and AC was still awake so I went to kiss her good night only to find a big knot in her hair again.  I had to text Aunt Rikki and ask her to bring her scissors this weekend.  As much as I hate to cut her "little bit" of girl looking hair off, I'm gonna have to until she stops doing the twisting.  I actually can't even get this knot out either, so she will be looking a bit crazy until Aunt Rikki gets here!!

We have our Women About Missions gathering tonight and I'm looking forward to it.  I'm doing the devotion, and speaking on Katie Davis's ministry and her book.

I've been reading the book to the girls and the other night it gave some statistics that absolutely blew my mind and brought many tears to my eyes.  Let me share....  There are 143 million orphaned children and the 11 million who starve to death or die from preventable diseases and the 8.5 million who work as child slaves, prostitutes, or under other horrific conditions and the 2.3 million who live with HIV add up to 164.8 million needy children.  2.1 billion people on this earth proclaim to be Christians.  If only 8 percent of the Christians would care for one more child, there would not be any statistics left.  Quoted by Katie Davis in Kisses from Katie.

Wow, quiet an eye opener if I do say so myself, and EXTREMELY heart breaking to the core.

Weekend Happenings

After all our school work was done on Friday, before we went to the party we made some ornaments.  The girls each made an ornament with their hand print and name on one side and a Bible verse on the other.  They turned out really cute.  I remember when I was a kid we made these at school and my mom always kept it and I loved putting it on the tree every year.

We went and looked at a few Christmas lights that night.  Anna Claire really enjoys seeing them, she gets excited and it's so cute.

Saturday we did lots of cleaning, not much fun, but has to be done, and love it when it's over!!!  We didn't do much else that day, besides cook lunch and dinner and watch a little football.  I read another chapter of Kisses from Katie to the girls before they went to bed.  I just love reading that book.  Abby asks lots of questions, I know she doesn't fully grasp all that it means but she tries so hard to understand.  After I read a chapter, Kyndal said can we be done for tonight!!!!  She listens but I have no idea if she gets it, but at least she hears it.

We had our annual Lottie Moon Auction at church last night after a fellowship time.  It's always a really fun time and for a great cause.  The girls got to be involved and help out with it, they always enjoy that too.  AC, well was a cut up as usual.  She is in this phase of really trying me on EVERYTHING.  If I tell her no to something, she will do it and stare at me just to see what I will do.  If I pop her hand, she normally laughs.  O my. I have my work cut out with her.  However, she is absolutely precious even when acting up.

Christmas Party

The girls had their home school Christmas Party on Friday afternoon.  They had  a really fun time.  They enjoyed some yummy snacks, made Christmas trees, and opened gifts.  Anna Claire went with us and I had to wake her up from her nap to go so you can imagine how much fun she was!!!!

9 more days of school this semester and then on to Christmas break!  Can you tell I'm excited????

AC

finds enjoyment in a chip box....

does not like for her sisters to aggravate her....

likes to carry their library book bags around (photographed by Kyndal)....

says look how adorable I am....

throws all of her toys in the floor....and takes her socks off.....

says can I please get out of here already????!!!!!????

I went to Ladies Praise Night at Parkview last night, which was also gymnastics day.  So sweet Daddy took all 3 girls and headed to Dothan for gymnastics.  I gave AC a cup of water with a dash of red Sunny D for the ride there.  When they got there, Craig calls and says why did you give AC a cup.  She had turned the spill proof cup upside down and pressed it on her belt buckle and ended up having the whole cup of water/juice all over her!!!!  He didn't even realize it until they were inside and then he was wet too.  He had on a new "white" shirt that now had some colorful red on it.  It did come out though.  All I had in AC's bag was a white short sleeve onesie, so he had to put that on her.  She was wearing brown socks and shoes too.  I can only imagine how stylish she was looking.  Any who I thought it was a bit funny that it happened to him, but he handled it like water off a ducks back.
