Fashion Show

The girls are obsessed with having fashion shows.  They pull out every dress they own and make the biggest mess in their rooms, but they have fun.  They use their microphone to announce who is coming down the stairs and what they are wearing.  They try to get AC into it, but she will only put on one dress and then she is done!

She was done with the fashion show, but wanted her picture taken!



Last night after dinner, Craig took the girls to the park, so I could have a little quiet time and so he could spend some fun time with them.  He is such a good hubby and daddy!  He told the girls to go get socks and shoes on.  Kyndal got AC's, and of course she got the pink glittery ones and pink socks that didn't match, but oh well.  Kyndal loves her some pink.

Weekend Recap

Saturday morning we went to Craig's office to do a few things.  He has a window in his office that looks out into the hallway.  The girls like to pretend like they are ordering things and shopping through that window.  It's quite funny!

Then we made a trip to Sam's and to lunch.  Someone had recommended going to a place called Puritan Backroom, so we did.  They did suggest getting the chicken fingers, which we did not.  It was good, but I won't order the same thing next time! 

Then we headed to the mall to look around!  I really want  a new camera so I was getting some ideas!  We went to Build A Bear and let AC make a bear since she doesn't have one.  Abby and Kyndal helped her pick out a bear and a shirt.

It was the Bear's birthday so they had party hats for everyone.  Isn't she so cute????

Yes her shoes are too big, but she Loves them and always wants to wear them, so I let her.  And she actually keeps those on her feet unlike all other shoes I put on her.

We mostly just relaxed after church on Sunday.  Craig had a meeting, but that was it!  It was a good weekend!

School and Library

After we found out we were moving to NH in the summer, I decided that the girls would go to public school because from the research I had done revealed that the education system is better here.  So once we got here, I registered them and as the days went on, I began to feel uneasy about this decision.  Last weekend I told Craig how I was feeling and he has always wanted to homeschool them, so of course he was on board.  There were some concerns with the school they are zoned for and I had some other concerns myself, and really just felt convicted that this is what the Lord wants for our family.  Not to mention moving Very far from family, friends, and everything we are use to, plus putting the girls in public school was probably a bit too much for them.  So I did all the necessary things involved to do homeschool for this year.  We are waiting on the rest of our curriculum to arrive, but we will begin next Tuesday after Labor Day.  Public school here begins tomorrow, so we have one more week of freedom!!!  We are all excited and looking forward to the new year.  Hoping to stay very motivated and encouraged throughout the year.

We go to the Library every Thursday morning and the big girls do some computer time and look for books while AC plays with puzzles and we read a book together.  We will continue doing this through the school year as well.  The public Library here is super nice and has lots for children.

Fun Family Friday

So Friday we were planning to drive to the mountains, get out, walk around, and enjoy the scenery.  This was Craig's idea early in the week.  He said someone told him where to go, so we get in the car Friday morning and Craig says I don't really know how today will turn out but we will just have fun being together.  I'm like ok, still expecting to get out and enjoy some mountains.  After driving for an hour and 20 minutes, we see mountains, but only all around us in the car.  We stop, get a map, and still never make it "to the mountains".  So we stopped and had a picnic outside Burger King and decided to head to the beach.  We made it there after about another hour or so.  It was a really fun day just being together, but next time we plan to go to the mountains, I will make sure there is a "Plan" to enjoy some mountains!

The tide was up and the waves were crashing into the rocks, and Anna Claire was not digging it!  Needless to say, she was not leaving our arms!

I was actually a little sore yesterday after climbing those rocks!  Not to mention I've done something to my knee and there is fluid on it.  I guess I need to go to the Dr., but I'm trying to avoid that!  It's been a bother for about 2 weeks now and I'm sure it doesn't help walking up 2-3 flights of stairs all the time!  Pray with me that the Lord will just heal so I don't have to go to the Dr. please.

Friday night there was a young man in the church racing.  He loves to race and only had 2 races left in the season, so we decided to go and show our support.  It was actually really fun.  For those of you who know me know I'm not much of a race fan or anything, but we enjoyed it.  It was LOUD for sure!  One of the type cars that raced was super loud so I held my hands over AC's ears.  We were there for about 2 hours and AC didn't get a nap that afternoon, but she was soooo good.  She never left our laps and she actually fell asleep in my lap.  Poor girl was exhausted to be able to sleep with that noise.  They did sleep till after 8 am Sat. so that was nice.

It was a great family fun day for us!!!

I actually had more pictures of the girls at the park.  We found a new park Sunday afternoon that has a little splash pad too.  I took several pics of them, but between my old camera and this old laptop they got deleted and I'm not happy about it!

Old Home Day

So I mentioned in my last post that we went to Old Home Day this past Saturday.  Lots of people have booths set up and our church had one, so Craig was there all day.  The girls and I went for a few hours.  It had been raining all night, but turned out to be a beautiful day.  It felt great!  They had a really big parade too, which was fun to watch.
